Finding good looking and reliable weeping trees for the warmer climates can be difficult but this deciduous flowering tree is perfectly suited to dry alkaline soils.

With gorgeous wisteria like violet-blue fragrant flowers, wispy weeping foliage and rugged textured bark this tree is a plant collectors dream.

Flower season only lasts a few weeks.

Specimens in Brisbane have been known to reach up to 6m tall with taller trees occurring in north Queensland. It has been known to reach 20m in ideal conditions.
